Another night in Toronto; or, what the heck was I thinking?

Yeesh, I have got to get out of this town ASAP. Last night at 8 PM I head out with a few friends to the Green Room, which is a pub. Well, we sit around drinking sangria and beer for a few hours, and then head out at 12 or so. Well, clearly there's still a few good hours to kill, so Peter, some Irish guy, and I all head out to good ol' Einstein's. So we're sitting there at the ol' Einstein's, and we're talking about how in order for the real craziness to happen, you have to sit around drinking until around 2 AM. Sure enough, it gets close to 2 AM, and a couple of girls come down and sit with us and start chatting it up (Rachael, our usual waitress, was giving me the "what the heck are you guys thinking?" look; I didn't really know what to tell her). So, we sit around talking and drinking for a bit, the bar's about to close, and the one girl's like, "Let's all go back to my place!"

I have to admit, this is not normally the sort of thing I'd go for; on the other hand, I really wanted to know what the heck kind of girl invites three guys she just met at a bar to her apartment. Plus, I figured Peter would need me to get him home later. So, we head over there (we run into John and Kristen on the way, giving us a chance to say hi, which was also cool). We get there, the one girl falls asleep, and the who invited us and my friends and I sit there watching some Led Zeppelin DVD. In Seinfeld style, I'll throw in a "yadda yadda", and an hour later we come out, with Peter in worse shape than he was going in, and the Irish guy also in less-than-splendid shape, although better shape than Peter (it would've taken a lot of work to be in worse shape than Peter).

So, at this point, it's 4 in the morning, and they're whining about how they are hungry. So, I take them to an all-night diner (they whined about how long it was taking to get there the entire time, although it wasn't that far at all). We sit down, we have ourselves a nice breakfast (after I listen to them whine about how long it's taking the food to come... it didn't take very long at all, of course), we roll out of there a bit after 5 AM. They want to take a taxi, I'm like, "You're idiots," we walk home. Irish dude goes to bed, Peter and I watch an episode of Firefly (which is quite a good show; it's a shame it was cancelled), I get back to my room at around 6:25 AM, and here I sit posting this message.

All-in-all, an interesting night. What will be really fun is seeing how little of it Peter remembers when he wakes up.

I have definitely got to get out of this town.

Why do you have to get out of the town? Is it so that you don't have to play baby sitter? :) Sounded like a perfectly fine night to me with the exception of how you had to two care of the other two. :)

I had a night like that in Denver about a year ago.. was quite nice.. except we got back to the hotel about 5 am and then had to be up and ready to drive cars in a parade at 8am. :P

Well, I have to get out of town because by nature I'm a fairly quiet and conservative guy, and trying to keep up with a bunch of people who aren't is starting to take it's toll on me. Basically, I'm worn out. The babysitting is by far the part I'm most comfortable with. Everything else takes a large amount of effort on my part. If I were going out once a week or so, I'd probably be fine... it's just going out almost every night is starting to get to me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm having fun; it's just exhausting.

I actually know what you mean.. believe it or not. I have a friend who was drunk ALL WEEKEND LONG.. no clue how he does it. I can drink for one day, but the next day, you had best just leave me alone and let me sleep.

Have you seen the movie Party Monster? With Seth Green and The Home Alone Kid? If you haven't, definitly see it. :)

p.s. Login to Stick (at the request of many besides myself.. hahaha)

Hey, I haven't seen you around and I have a VERY VERY weird question for you.. and I have no clue if you will even know the answer.. (its a stickmud questions)

Didn't Enjorlas create a non-lord club or a lord killer club? I know it was in town.. found it.. but no one remembers the password? Do you? Does he? Can you let me know?? :)

Enjorlas didn't create the building itself, but he headed up a non-lord club for a while, that used the building as its base of operations. As for the password, try typing "kblghm". That could be totally wrong, but that's the first thing that pops into my head when you ask the question.

Also: the password will only work if you're not a lord. The guards aren't that stupid.

Also: I think there might be an "n" at the end of that. Like, "kblghmn". Hrmmm....

Aren't you glad you asked me this question? 8)

Hehe, yes glad I asked.. impressed you remembered.. and irritated that it will only work if you are a non-lord. Poop in a hand basket!
